WHAT? No brake dust?

There is a guy from Florida selling cars on ebay. I watched few of his listings and am amazed with detailing of the cars.
This is 25-years old MB with almost 200k on it.
How can you get the wheels so clean?
I just spend 1/2 day on my way younger wheels and they still have lot of dirt on them.

So did I.
The wheel cleaner I used on my wheels says "let it soak for no longer than 15 seconds"
That should say something? Regardless I still have lot of black spots.

That FL seller is known to sell repainted cars with lots of signs in the close up pics, signs of overspray. He also paints the wheels so they look like new.

Whatever you do, DON'T install those disc brake dust shields on your car. You could really overheat the brakes with those.

There was a spray cleaner called P303, or PS19, I think, that I used to use. It was expensive but it did a real good job. I bought it by mail order, but forgot where.

Those bundt wheels on the 116/123/126 cars are really hard to keep clean, especially the fronts, of course. It seems they just accumulate a lot of brake dust in normal driving.

My dealer's detail department paints wheels too, and the foreman said they can remove certain scratches, scrapes and dents. I have not seen their work for myself, but the guy sure talks a "good game".

There is something suspicious about the seller. He's got only 15 feedbacks (all good) but private listings don't allow to see the items.
Anyway. Now I can see, that painting the wheels here is very likely. There is another of listed cars with close to 200k on it.

I had to have a fender repaired on my '87 300E about 10 years ago. The owner of the small body shop offered to paint my wheels for a couple hundred more: they looked great & stayed that way with the factory appearance clearcoat he put on them.
I have noticed this seller's cars on e-bay; they're usually very nice older cars in great shape appearance-wise though his bs is amazingly deep, rattling on about maintenance supposedly performed he could have no clue about, such as how the 20 y/o car has had nothing but synthetic oil used, etc.

'87 300E: sold after 11years @ 230k & still on the road somewhere in rural Tennessee.

'94 C220 with 93k totalled 10/06 by hit & run broadsiding monster truck: not a scratch or bruise for me

Throtile body cleaner works OK but you got to work bit by bit since evaporates really quickly.
