What a wack/windy day for me! need help on windsheild scratch remover.

Well today was a really windy day, scratch my windshield while driving, and lost my gazebo to top that off(blow away and broke, what a lost of money). i was driving today and i guess the wind blow rocks onto the path of my wipers. Well what sucked too was today we had patchy rain. So i ended up using my windshield wipers, turns out it had rocks in the blades path. Now my windshield has some pretty bad scratch marks, any good scratch removers out there you guys can recommend.

There is a very old product named Bon Ami that we used to use for scratches on glass. As far as I know it is still available, but there are probably better products for that now.

Do a search in the detailing & car care section; you'll find plenty of advice from folks who have suffered the same ills from the wind.

Bon Ami is a non-gritty cleanser that can still be found in the grocery store cleaning materials aisles. It is meant for cleaning fiberglass tubs, faux marble, and the like, without scratching. With elbow grease it does work on shallow scratches in glass, and it is great for cleaning off road gunk and old Rain-X type products.

if the windshield is original, maybe consider getting a new one installed and ditch that 8 year old one. you'll see SO much better.

If your windshield has a crack that might interfere w/ vision or could break and possibly cause an accident, I believe most insurance policies will replace it at no cost...

Not necessary. On our new purchase -97 model looks like the windshield was replaced with aftermarket one. I can't pinpoint the problem, but my eyes are getting tired looking thru it. There is some kind of imperfection on driver lane of looking, that makes the the picture out of focus.
Didn't took long on skiing trips to get chips anyway.
