well of course OEM glass will be of higher quality than some cheap taiwan made one. what i was getting at was that the windshield after years tend to get hundreds of microscopic pits & chips from the sand & salt they spray on the roads around here. doesnt matter how much you avoid 18wheelers. on direct sunlight it's almost impossible to see through it.
