"hate" is such a strong word, I don't use it ... but things I dislike about MBs:

while they look/drive great, QUALITY CONTROL PLEASE.

1. WTF is with so many rust problems in these cars.
2. Little things always seem to break, sunroof, dash pixels, bulbs that fail way too early, headlight washer leaking, etc
3. Instead of useless garbage technology, please perfect simple things like ipod integration, NAV, and bluetooth.

Gone but not forgotten:
2003 Honda S2000
1999 BMW 540i sport
1995 BMW M3

I'll bet when spring comes, you defrost from winter, and break out that E55 . . . . . the first time you squeeze the loud pedal from a standstill all will be forgiven. That's because your baby will pin you in that seat like an F-14 with the afterburners on maximum thrust. I can hear it now, " ooooooh yeah . . . . . . . . . I forgive you baby . . . . . . . . . . "

The AMG: It's enough to make your wife jealous.

A 370bhp, 3700lb car is not exactly an F-14 with an afterburner, but im sure he will have fun with it.

Getting parts over the border from the US

Having to order parts from the US because there are no good Canadian sources.

Multiple Power steering gearbox, and rear suspension cell replacement.
Generally unpredictable HVAC system.

Other than that, nothing really, after over 10 years owning. Very strong and tough. Not a squeak or rattle in the car after all this time. Very comfortable, and very well built. The gasoline mileage is awful, but the performance comes with a price.

The only negative thing I can find about MB is that there are so damn many of them around, but thats only because they last so damn long. Here in south Georgia, when you stop at a traffic light, you are likely to see more Benzes than any other individual marque. they run the gamut from clapped out 30 year old diesels to Soccer Mom M classes to showroom quality SLs. I have a 20 year old 300E and driving to work, I'm more likely to pass another 87 300E than an 87 Accord or Camry which were produced and sold in far more numbers.
If I want to be driving the only one on the road, I'll drive my 93 Stealth. If I want the perfect mix of luxury and performance Ill drive my 300E.
