Does anyone know if there's a hub kit so that C43’s can use a different rotor? I know if I had one, I’d be looking at something/anything to get out from under that $700 brake job. I remember swapping brakes on a 911 was pretty straightforward AND common. The calipers on a 1973 911S are OVER $2500 per side. That makes changing hubs, rotors, and calipers very common.

Wow, that's a lot of money. I think the only part of my Porsche brakes I replaced were the pads. Also, weren't those 2-piston "double calipers" Marcus? I might be using the wrong term for them, but the pads press on both the inside and outside of the rotors, and the calipers were not just shackled together, but had 2 separate pistons, one for the inside and the other for the outside?

Regardless, the brakes on my '72 and '76 911s were darn good brakes.

That's it exactly. They were dual piston calipers, one piston per pad. I just checked pelican parts and they currently list for $2750 per side. Those same calipers were used on the Carrera RS and the early Turbo.

I just bought set of 4 drilled rotors for our E300 for $148 from https://www.tutuauto.com/
Nice rotors, painted with options of colors.
I don't see them selling rotors for C43, but they seems to manufacture them, so all it might take is call them. They also sell on ebay.

Unfortunately, the only Brembo rotors I've ever seen that fit a C43 are part of the big brake kit. Those are $2900 and up. Maybe someone else has another alternative.

Try these guys:
Performance Cross Drilled and Slotted Rotors! - Mercedes - RaceShopper.com

A few years back I bought fr. and rr. slotted rotors,
4 ss brake lines, fr. and rr. hawk pads and 4 liters
of ATA super blue brake fluid from them for a little
over $500 including shipping.
Now mind you this was for a w123 '84 300tdt.

You have to send in a request for prices but it's
worth a try, however they don't list the '98 C43
but they do have a listing for the '97 C36.
I don't know it these are the same and will fit the C43?

Louis.
