I actually haven't seen the cat, but that looks just like a picture of him!
I thought it might be the warmth or "hotness" of the benz, but there is plenty of time to cool down and it sleeps on the roof, not the hood. probably during the hours between midnight and 7? I have no clue.
I went to Petco and bought some of this cat stay away spray stuff ($12 for a can!). I sprayed it on the concrete in a full circle around my car. I almost feel like i'm exorcising the cat demons out of my car. Next I'll be hanging some cat bones from my rear view mirror.

My cat gets in my car when I'm not looking I even got to the end of the drive and found when he woke up as I went over the curb. He never scratches though even the leather furniture in the house so I don't mind that much.

Haha, what is that medication? I suggested poison (generically) but now you are really getting specific!

We had a cat that crept into our garage (somehow) and slept on top of the roof of my mother's W123 wagon.

We trapped her inside the garage, carried and stored her in our sun-room. 7 years later we had to put her down since her kidneys were failing:

We adopted her and provided her with a warm home and a loving family. Never regretted that decision.

After a busy long day at work this is amusing to come home and read! I wonder if it belongs to one of the neighbors? Poor thing should be inside sleeping. Where I live you almost need to keep your cats inside or else more then 75% of the time they will become dinner for the coyotes! You see coyotes in day light crossing the streets. Some are as big as German Shepherds. Last summer when going down the street to my mail box I saw a large coyote with a neighbors cat in his mouth running off! It broke my heart to tell them because they had put out fliers everywhere for a missing cat

Please don't take my comments personally. I would hate to be in your situation, but as you just stated, at least the cat is not somehow getting inside your car.

My deceased mother liked cats, and I inherited a lot of her good traits, but loving cats was not one of them.
