sliding roof

I have a 2002 c230k my battery died and my friend jump it witha charge box and now my sliding roof won't open . The sliding shade does but not the roof. Is there a relay?MB told me that there is no relay but for some reason I don't believe them. How can I get this fixed the weather is beautiful and I want my roof open! Please help!

i'd look for stickies on the various C230 boards. they seem to be more sensitive
to resetting after power outage than, say E320. pretty sure that MBWorld has
big FAQ on this.

When this happens on most of our cars we are supposed to press and hold the button up for a few seconds. Or I think you can press and hold it in forward or backward position. But it should eventually correct itself. Failing that there is a crank mechanism above one of the rear vanity lights that can be accessed by pooping the light out. Please read your Operator's manual for details, but I am sure this can be fixed w/out a trip to the dealer.

Don't believe everything you think

no there is no relay, you have a switch that operates the roof motor. if the roof doesnt open at all, either the switch is faulty, the motor is faulty or the overhead control panel is faulty or power to it is faulty.
