For sheer reliability AND combined fun to drive factor, and low depreciation, the E500 is hard to beat.
For less balls to the wall performance, plus a sex appeal factor, what about a W124 E320 Cabriolet, in near mint condition, in an attractive color, say orient red, black or dark blue. They cost a lot, but they have the virtues mentioned above, and the W124 cars last a long time too. Girls LOVE convertibles.
The R107 remarks are certainly true. Actually a high numer of them were bought when new by females, they were considered fashion accessories, to be taken to the Beverly Hills Hotel, the Century City Plaza, or the Palm Springs tennis Club. You could proabably find a real good one for well under $25k at the most
A nice late (88 or 89) one in a good color, (red or black is vbery good) make a great value. They are tough, long lasting, classic, beautiful sports cars that are crusiers, built to last, and cruise. HOWEVER the cabins are not spacious, and if you are big guy, your 6'1" frame might feel uncomfortable. BE VERY CAREFUL the car fits you, it might not.
The E350 has a near to even chance that you could wind up with a car, that while has all the latest safety, navigation, and electronics in it, could still be VERY unreliable, to the extent a bad one will spend as much time in the shop as on the road. The Mercedes quality curve, while starting to rise a bit, was really in the toilet from 2000-2006, so the chance that you might wind up with a nasty example is still pretty high with the E350. You might get a nice one, but maybe. So as Dirty Harry might say, the question is, "Do you feel lucky? Well, do you?"
I would be concerned about the build quality on the Cadillac and Chrysler, I am sorry to say. I don't know about the G35 though, but would imagine the quality is good, but again, make sure it is roomy enough inside before you get one.....
Welcome to the forum btw, and good luck with your choice.
