Rotten Parking Jackals!

Hey, folks.

I mentioned this in OT and thought I would post a couple of pics.

How in the world does someone do this to a parked car and then take off and live with themselves thereafter? Even if you can't afford responsibility for your actions (and if you can't, perhaps you shouldn't be driving), you could at least leave a note of apology.

I guess we do live in a changed world. Jackals abound.

Take care and enjoy the ride,

Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery. (Winston Churchill)

Thats why I take my Little Rottweilers with me when I do My errands..and leave the rear windows down just enough so they can stick there Big ole block heads out and scare the crap out of anyone THINKING about parking next to my Wagon... Once I saw some fool TRY to park next to me...He Tried to get out and was greeted by my Dog...He got back in and moved to another spot..

ouch, sorry to hear.

2 wks ago, some f##Ker smashed my passenger side mirror in a parking lot.

The year before that, my S2000 was smashed in the rear bumper by a chevy malibu driven by a black woman (witness was there), and she took off.

Had I known it was you, I would have left a number. Sorry for the joke, but it wasn't me. Ther is no bay around my town. I feel for ya, buddy. If that happened to me, I would be on a nation-wide manhunt. This guy would pay out of his ass for the rest of his life!!

Try this one: Halloween past I was crossing an alley. I stopped & looked both ways, nothing coming. As I pulled out I saw an oversized pickup doing what seemed 50 mph coming from my left towards my side. I decided to hit the gas and steer hard right. Fortunately, he cut hard left, still hitting my door, then spinning the car and striking my rear quarter panel as well. The impact to my near perfect '94 C-220 in very rare beryl knocked the car 15 feet on across the alley into a parking lot. I brought the car to a stop just before hitting a building & got out. The truck was rounding the corner at the end of the parking lot I had just been knocked into. Although a cop showed up a couple of mintues later, the monster truck was never found. Am glad to say the car held up very well, thus my buying a used 210. C-220 was totalled as the rear quarter panel labor ran the repair bill on up. Someone will be buying a great used car with a salvage title...Thank heavens for collision insurance!

'87 300E: sold after 11years @ 230k & still on the road somewhere in rural Tennessee.

'94 C220 with 93k totalled 10/06 by hit & run broadsiding monster truck: not a scratch or bruise for me

You didn't say that was YOUR car, and I hope it wasn't!

That happened to my Toyota Camry in a parking lot once. I came out and someone had hit and punched in one of the rear quarter panels (no note left). Fortunately, I had comprehensive coverage, and found a good body shop. In fact, I had completely forgotten about that because the repair was done so well (I hand wax that car, so I get a good look at it at least twice a year).

Sorry to see that. Doing the right time and owning up to a mistake is becoming a thing of the past.

Sorry to see that Greg.
Than we are living in high-speed society. Maybe they simply had no time to stop?

this is why I park far away in parking lots. I don't have time to deal with idiots.
