Being the first doesn't necessarily mean that they're the best.

For example, Citroen were the first to introduce a hydro-pneumatic self leveling suspension in a car, first car ever with self leveling suspension in general. Are they the best cars? LOL! Far from it.

Hmm, I've seen some original Citroen DS's, some 2CVs at car shows. I have a friend from the UK and has owned one of the new C6 and a C4 for himself. He likes the C4, but he liked his old Escort a lot better...and his family enjoyed a Mondeo better. They commented on the Citroen's poor reliability and build quality.

Thanks for asking though.

"Car guys" know a great car when they drive it. Any e-type Jag (6 or 8 cylinder), while it will never win any awards for "off the line" speed is recognized as a car guys car, as is the Mini, Cobra, Healy, BMW Z8 and some Ferarri's etc. etc. I don't think there's a lot of excitement in a real fast station wagon, or several others mentioned, and I really don't think I'd pay the price for any of them. Forget waht the magazines say...............drive them and make your own decision.

Oh, yes, that certainly does make you eminently qualified. My bad.

Well please specify how I am wrong.

I discuss cars with people who are from all over the world. In addition, I read about them in books, and in CAR Magazine from the UK, TopGear Magazine, and Evo magazine and it's just known that the French always built cars that fell short in reliability, build quality and overall quality/refinement when compared to the benchmark (European, mainly German and Japanese).

Please tell me how I am wrong, since you are implying that I am since I don't know what I'm talking about and that French cars are the best...And don't come out saying something stupid like that's not what you were implying...

I said French cars were "far from being the best" and then you said "How would you know? How many have you owned or even seen?" which can mean that you are implying the above.

It can, but it doesn't. It means only that you're speaking without knowledge. Not that this is the first time or anything.

The urinal is at the back of the forum, and that is where pissing contests are generally held.

Haha,

I think the E63S was a ridiculous idea from an engineering and a marketing standpoint, but I'd still like to test drive one
