Yeah, so what if it's faster -- it's still a POS....

I tell people that the big Benz are not quick cars but they are fast cars.
A lot of cars will out accelerate them from a stop up to 60 or 70. But very few can out run them from 80 to 155. I love being on the Interstate cruising about 75-80 and having some Detroit POS come up on me doing 85-90. I can punch it and the car will downshift and start moving out very quickly, gently pushing you back in the seat. Finally shifts back into top gear around 120, but will still be accelerating.

I've read somewhere the exact opposite. The guy in the Benz wasn't racing anybody, and the guy in the other car was. The two take off at the same pace but the Benz gets the lead, til the next light. Then the guy in the other car rolls the window down and says, "Whachu got in there?" and the Benz owner is like "Huh?" to which the other guy still replies "I couldn't catch you!"

I will agree with the board, don't sweat the details. I have been jumped in my SL500 at a light by a car I thought I would bitch slap. The real test is roll up on him at 75 and put it to the floor and watch him fold like a cheap suitcase. You are driving a sedan and that is some weight to get rolling. And last but not least, what you paid for your car is what he paid for his double wide and car combined.

Some do, some don't, some will, some won't, but I might!
