Prolly not on newer cars (the seats will give you a hernia, then you'll
likely blow half the fuse-box) but on older cars it's a must for those
wanting a showroom-fresh interior.

We don't eat/drink in our cars and in California car needs washing once in the summer and maybe 3 times in the winter. About once a year I spend some time washing brake dust from the wheels.
Our original 8-years old ML is cleaner than most 6-months old on the roads.
Or at least used to before our son took it over.

Its an easy thing. Just unbolt the seat, but make sure you disconnect the wiring harness situated underneath the seat

If you don't feel comfortable doing it...don't.

Work around it.

I had mine professionally detailed last spring by a great mobile-detailer. I spent a lot of time on three pro-detailer sites looking for someone locally. He charged $175 but I paid $225 because he spent over five hours and did a fantastic job!

Don't believe everything you think

I'll have my buddy Mike Reynosa come over in a couple weeks to have him detail both our cars.... for the people interested and living in Orange County, this is his number: 949-400-0093. Definitely a recommendation. This guy loves his job.

Wow I wish I lived in California. It is so dusty in Arizona I hand wash my car about every 7-10 days. I also clay and do three coats of wax about 3-4 times a year. I probably over clean but like others have said I do not let anyone wash or touch my car.

I wash once a week winter or summer, vacuum once every two weeks and spot detail then. Usually do a full detail about once a month.
