$1512 a yr includes my wife's Audi. When I got my car the insurance carrier (Erie) said they wouldn't normally insure the car due to its horsepower but made an exception in my case as I have been with them for years.

I think it depends on coverage too. I pay 139 a month but I have 100k worth of collision coverage 500k of other coverage and no deductible so if a tree falls on my car or I total a SL, I am covered

Mod list:Carlssons front bumper, custom angel eye fogs, headlight rings, #1 pads, Eibach springs, Inmotion ECU tuning, chrome wheels, Illuminated door sills, in dash DVD and backup camera, complete audio system, AMG pedals, LED lights, Blk maple and chrome shift knob, blk maple center cover and door pulls, Zaino, H&R 10mm spacers, K&N filters, Magnaflow exhaust

I apologize for my lack of knowledge of U.S. traffic laws, but couldn't you go to court with the speeding ticket? I had a speeding ticket a couple of years back, and instead of letting my insurance go up, I hired a paralegal for $150 to fight off the ticket - which he successfully did. This seems to be common practice here in Canada.

Does the same work in the U.S.?

92% of all people suck at math. I am a part of the 9% who don't.

You might try, but good luck.
I was pulled over for driving 85mph in my 44 HP Volkswagen pickup. The court upheld the ticket for 85 MPH driving in truck with 75 mph top speed.
To avoid DMV records and insurance increase in California we are allowed to go to school every 18 months, what keeps the record clean.
