1995 E 320

I have an opportunity to buy a 1995 E 320 Cab with 32,000 miles. Asking price is not cheap, but it's one I would like to buy for various reasons. I've searched the forum, and can't find any history of problems in general with the car. Anyone have any experience or know of any issues?

Thanks in advance.

If it hasn't already been replaced, it will need a new engine wiring harness for $700-$1000.

Be sure to inspect catalytic converters, as you should only use OEM cats and they're expensive.

Incredible car.
Prices on the rise, older MB convertibles are automotive gold.
32k miles is just the absolute clincher

It's generally a good car but does have three major mechanical issues - the wiring harness mentioned, the tendancy to have head gasket failures, and the tendancy to have engine actuator problems. All three are major cost issues - the latter two are recurring. It's not likely to be considered one of the great MB engines for that reason. The top also some expensive repair issues and is a little too large to convert to manual operation. But overall a good car and probably better looking than anything since.

I have a 1995 E320, in flawless condition, in the white with the ugly gray two tone. I love the car. It's big, smooth and very torquey. I love the classic MB styling, the new round headlights kinda don't do it for me. A classic car with a very sexy interior.
