Things to look for; window or central locking motor on, (not shutting off at limit switches), jammed relay, Boot light on, Glove box light on.
Must be an error above. 1 A drain would make a 55 Ah battery flat in 55 hours. 260 mA is about a quarter of an amp, meaning about 200 hours which is not much more than a week. And the battery should have some juice left to start the car.

I know its the toughest to explain complex technical things in a way that anyone can understand, would you mind taking a stab at it for me!!! I have an 06 E320 CDI something is drawing on the battery when it is off and locked. Usually about 24 hours or so (depending on how long its been running clearly charging prior to) and it drains so far that the keyless alarm to unlock won't work. I understand the CAN and auto shutdown but narrowing down the specific draw is what I need to know how to do. So I am getting a Ammeter and assume that I start pulling fuses one by one starting with the 30's (lights and such?). Will the ammeter register the amount of draw for each fuse, should the car be on when I do this should it be fully charged etc>? Should I not even try!!! THX

On a 06 e320 I would check satellite radio unit or steering column unit first. But if not then yeah start pulling fuses with a amp meter. Also check central gateway for water damage
