I just read this whole thread and can't help but chime in even though I'm brand new and don't even own a MB (yet). I suppose I feel I have some frame of reference because I'm a pilot and I've gone over 130 many times in many cars as well, and on public roads. As a pilot I would think flyboy would share my attitude that some people really do have a higher level of situational awareness and just pure ability than perhaps the folks for whom the speed limits were designed. If he were weaving in and out of traffic risking another motorist not seeing him and getting clipped I'd be with you but he wasn't. He waited for clear highway and pushed the car to about 65% of its potential; conservative by any stretch of the imagination. I do my high speed blasts on saturday mornings on an out and back trip where the "out" leg serves as a survey of the road for police and obstructions. Then on the way back I get my heart rate up. I'm 31 and an F-18 pilot in the Marine Corps. I don't think what he did was all that bad. I still hate him for having that f'ing car though. Oh and I think you did come off strong in your first post flyboy and I haven't lead a sheltered life at all. You were a cock with a condescending tone and a fatherly BS attitude that no one asked for. I'm surprised the person you attacked was able to stay so calm but contrary to your assertion that he's a privileged prick with more money than sense he probably showed a little side of why he's been so successful. Try being nice.
