Have you requested your dealer to do the swap? They should know how to copy the mileage, if that is possible. The "FSS" should be less of a problem if you just do manual book keeping for the next service.
I have no personal experience but real experts have told me that the mileage info is stored in more than two different places in the car (I think it was three, instrument cluster certainly one of those), this at least on modern cars, not sure at all if it applies to your car. As mentioned above, the mileage can be changed for a new cluster, some allow it only for a limited number of times and for a limited mileage figure (dealer could set the odometer to zero when the car is delivered if the wish).
A new cluster needs to be allowed to be programmed to the true mileage of the car but putting in a used part, one of the several that hold the mileage info, the car would at some point adjust the mileage to all units according to the highest reading on those multiple units that store the data.
If your car has higher mileage than the AMG cluster, I guess this would not be a problem, if all of this applies at all to your car model. And the dealer should be able to put it right, if anyone.
