2000 ml 320 problem can you guys help

I am sorry if i am bothering you, I noticed that you seem very knowlagable about 320. I have a 2000 320 (27,000 miles). I live in Illinois and we got some freezing rain last night. Anyways today i noticed that my left turn blinker was blinking rapidly. I took a look outside and noticed that my left front blinker, side blinker and rear blinker were not working. I opened the fuse box out of curiosity and closed it (everything looked fine but i am no expert). After i did this the side blinker and rear blinker began working again. But the front blinker is not working. Of course i assume this is a simple bad bulb BUT when i turn the headlights on the bulb works! So why isent it blinking for turns??? Any suggetions?

Hi, George, and welcome to the forum.

(My sympathies for the weather...)

I can't even begin to guess why simply opening and closing the fuse box cover would start some of the lights working again, but I can answer your question as to your front T/S light.

The bulb is actually a two-filament bulb, one filament is for the marker/parking light and the other filament is for the turn signal. When one burns out, the other one continues to work. Essentially it's like two bulbs in one.

These are oddball bulb designs, they have the European offset pins instead of the 180-degree ones you're used to finding. Your best bet is to hit the dealer for the bulb, it's unlikely you'll otherwise find it locally. Luckily, most dealers do not charge retail for these bizarre bulbs. You can find them on line for a good discount, but unless you're buying a lot of stuff otherwise the shipping will eat you up.

Good luck and enjoy the ride,
