Birdseye maple steering wheel for 07 ML350

I just bought a brand new 2007 ML 350 from a local MB dealer. As part of the negotiation, I asked the salesman to throw in a wood steering wheel. He said "sure".

At delivery, he told me the wheel wasn't in yet, but promised that the service department would call me the next day, come pick up my car and install the wood wheel. The salesman gave me a written "IOU" for the wood wheel. A week later I still hadn't heard from service, so I called. They told me they can't get a wood steering wheel in the birdseye maple that my car has on the rest of the trim.

Does anyone know of a source for a wood steering wheel with the birdseye maple???

Any help would be appreciated by me, and by the dealer.

Thanks!

Not OEM, but "www. for my mercedes .com" (paste that without the quotes into your browser and remove all the spaces between the quotes).

He custom makes lots of them, plain or perforated, etc., have your dealer supply the core and that should get it done.

Take care and enjoy the new ride!

Thanks. The website you sent me to CAN do the birdseye maple wheel... it's expensive and takes a long time, but they can get it done. They ship the core to Thailand for the wood work. Dealer's problem for promising me a difficult item!
Thanks!
