The chrome plate with the star did not look bad, I do agree about advertising, I used a plain stainless ring which matches the rear.
My salesman advised the shiny chrome one, but the more I thought about it, I wanted more contrast than that provides.

The newer parktronics have 4 or 5 "holes" per bumper but they look more like plugs -> UGLY!

Thanks for the suggestions.

I have one with plain font on the bottom - looks a lot better than those curvy lettered ones.

I have the front plate holder as well. Nothing on it right now. Looks foreign here where it's not required as well.

My first thoughts on this topic were to buy a phony German license plate. I'm sure you guys have seen them around, they are oval with numbers and/or letters and usually a little insignia. I'm not talking about the ones with the black/red/yellow colors and/or the emblem that looks like their country's flag, although some of those are attractive. I envision those more on a VW

Like the car doesn't belong here. Michigan doesn't require front plates, yet for some reason the dealer still puts the front plate holders on the cars. Both of our cars have the front plate holders (no front plate). Both cars are products of Daimler-Chrysler. Coincidence?

Hehe, OK, thanks for the explanation. And yes, I'd say a probable coincidence
