2003 C-240 ??s

New to website so hopefully this is posted in the right section.

Does anybody know how to reset the "trip odometer/mpg,etc." display in the dashboard? I don't have an owner's manual and it tells you to hit "R" for 3 seconds to reset but I don't know where "R" is?

That brings me to the obvious question two. Does anybody know where to get an owners manual for a 2003 C-240 either hard copy or online?

Thanks for your help.

Welcome Toxic Risk!

I don't own a C-class, but if the dash is remotely similar to either an E or a CLK, the reset button will reside in the lower left section of the instrument cluster. It's most likely blocked from site by the cruise control stalk while sitting in the driver's seat. The attached photo is from a CLK owner's manual. Hopefully that helps you find yours.

Unfortunately, I don't know where to get a C-Class owner's manual. In a worse case scenario, you can call 1-800-FOR-MERCedes (367-6372). They have a lot of manuals that are surprisingly inexpensive.

In the C240 the "R" button is in the same place as the one pointed out by MarcusF but is a manual button, not electronic. It is actually the same knob you use to dim the cluster, just push it in and hold until the reset happens. Good Luck!
