Now it is official...

...we finally got rid of our MB:s!
The 190 I sold to a guy at my work, and the 300 TE -24 found a new owner (who actually travelled 400 km one way to buy it. )
Well they are both gone, and I see a future with much less time in the garage, more money to spend on other than MB parts, and better sleep at night...
We just have to get over the annoying economical loss first. The 300 TE has been more expensive to own, than a new Volvo station wagon...

I sure will have a trouble-free Christmas, and hope you will have it too!

/Alexander

-06 Renault Clio (daily beater)

Yes, and a bicycle will be even more trouble free. A skateboard is even better and shoes are the best of all. With every luxury, there is a cost. You never have to fix the furnace in a tent..........

It's not a trouble-free Christmas when a Volvo wagon replaces a Benz.

good thing you sold those antiques. Its giving you a bad image actually. Good decision to sell it. Time for something newer and hipper. Good luck on your future car purchase, benz or not.

I did not buy a new Volvo!? But it would have been cheaper to own, that's for sure! :-)

Yeah, they were old cars, and some of the better Mercedes has ever made! The newer stuff - ouch...
In Sweden, MB was the number one taxi cab brand for decades, now you almost never see them. I have asked several cab drivers, and they all say the same: The non-existing quality in new MBs has made SAAB, Volvo, Volkswagen, Toyota etc a better choise.

/Alexander - who had a MB-, maintenance-, and trouble-free X-mas + new year.
