Jayhawk....MB has nothing to come back from? You must be joking!
In 1994, Mercedes-Benz was first in JD Power Customer Satisfaction and in 2004, they were 9 places from the bottom. THey are still placing well below the industry average in the JD Power initial quality survey, whom was won by Porsche for the best in initial quality. Ever since The last true MB, the W124, things have been downhill for them and majority of their cars have been coming up short of true MB quality.
And AsianML is on the dot. Most of the rights to Rolls-Royce is owned by BMW, since BMW built the Phantom and featured some of their electronics and powerplants in cars such as the Rolls-Royce Silver Speraph. Bentley uses those same powerplants, but for the most part, are owned by VW since VW makes the Bentley Continental GT and the Flying Spur in the same factory as the VW Phaeton. And they also both share the same exact chassis as the Phaeton (the Volkswagen D Platform), feature the same W12 engine/drivetrain/transmission/suspension, all VW. All the parts are made in Germany, all assembled in a factory in England.
The Volkswagen Group mostly consists of Lamborghini, Audi, Porsche, Bugatti, and Bentley and of course, V-Dub themselves.
