Question Looking for mechanic in NoVA or DC Metro Area

I'm looking for a knowledgeable (and preferably inexpensive) mechanic to swap out the springs and shocks on my W210 E320.

Can anyone offer any recommendations for the DC Metro. I live in Alexandria.

Thanks!

C

PS

If the guy is gonna charge as much as the dealership, then I might as well go there.

I prefer someone who is actually famiar with MB. I've asked around at a few of those other basic maintenance shops (Firestone and the like) and they are freaking clueless. I guess they figure, [with Southern Drawl] "If Vern can take 'er apart, I'm sure he'd be able to get 'er back together again...eventually."

MD shop

I was just given a name of a guy who use to be a MB race team Tech. He has a shop in Rockville MD. If you need the name let me know and I will get it to you. I am due for my B service in 6k and will be trying him out.

I like Mitch Carr's Auto Service (MB only) near White Flint Mall. 4232 Howard Avenue Kensington, MD 20895 (301)493-9460.

I'm guessing acarter is talking about RC Imports? Rick I'm sure is a fine mechanic, but he's a bit of a character.

RC Imports has been around, so I would guess that would be a good bet.

Try MB Motors in Fairfax (the town) They are good and relatively inexpensive.

If you don't mind the drive out to Herndon, Busch Motorcars is great and really inexpensive, honest and fair.

The definitely specialize in Mercedes, but I've had them do suspension work on my BMWs also.
