Mole Skin for Windows

Hey all. I'm usually on the SLK board but I wanted to get an opinion from a broader spectrum of MB owners. I've been having a problem with my tint scratching. The tint man took my door apart and noticed the cabin-side top panel seal (rubber foam type) had a few burrs on it causing it to cut the new tint. One of our Benzworld members suggested I use this mole skin strip for the inside edge of the seal and showed me this site.

Has anyone else tried this stuff before? I've heard if you use an adhesive to glue felt to the inside edge that it will eventually come loose and rub glue on the window then cause the window's motor to burn up, yada yada yada. But this site claims that it never comes loose (what else would they claim...right). Keep in mind I live in Jax, Florida where it gets pretty hot, rainy, dewey, humid, etc. And also do you think there is some sort of a spray that I could use on this rubber foam piece that would create a slick surface (permanent). Like maybe a teflon coat. That way it would be like a plastic on plastic connection with the tint.

For the time being I'm probably going to order that piece that has burrs on it and hope a new one is more slick. The kit for this mole skin only costs about $30 US. What do you think?

Here's the SLK thread that I started for background info just in case you have no idea what I'm talking about.

Alrighty then. Guess everyone's just as clueless as I am. Thanks anyway. I guess I'll order the strips then tell everyone how they work after it's been used for a while.
