190e losing water

hi all
have a 1990 190e.
its started to loose water thought is was the radiator and when i had a look this morning it seems to be coming from somewhere behind the fan belt.
has anyone any ideas what it is before i take it to the garage

you should post this in the W201 / 190-Class forum, more likely to get help.
Personally, i'm better at cleaning things than fixing them!

Sounds like the water pump. I've never taken apart a Mercedes-Benz water pump, but every other pump I've seen will leak from the lower weep hole when the internal seal fails.

Can anyone who's taken apart an MB pump confirm?
