Can not use parking brake in Thailand
Since most public garages in Bangkok (e.g, in shopping centers) do not have a sufficient number of parking spaces for all the cars that need to park the late comers have to park their cars in front of (and therby block) other cars. This is quite normal. But, it is imperative that the blocking car leave his gear in neutral and not engage the parking brake. This allows the driver of the blocked car to push (by hand) the blocking car out of the way.
In the course of a few hours the blocking car may be pushed this way and that way several times. And it is not unusual to find your car several car lengths away from where you originally parked it.
This is all quite accepted and nobody gets mad about it.
But, I don't think this would go over very well with some people here.
