I believe he's referring to THE CAR OF KINGS. THE GRAND MERCEDES. The 600 which was produced from 1964 thru 1972. The engines was a 6.3 liter M100. The chassis was a W100. There were only 2,677 cars ever built in all versions. The least expensive and most practical was the 4 door short wheel based model. Then there was the long wheel based Pullman model with 4 doors. Next comes the long wheel based Pullman model with 6 doors. Finally only a few long wheel based cars were produced in the Landaulet ( convertible ) version. In their day they could take anything on the road on the straight away and anything but a true sports car on a winding mountain road. Considering they weighed a couple of tons, they could go from zero to 62mph in 9.7 seconds. These fine automobiles were never in the garages of Joe Lunchbucket. You had to have extremely deep pockets or be a Mercedes mechanic to keep one on the road. I'm glad I was a Mercedes mechanic.

The MB100D and MB140D are Mercedes Benz Badged SangYong/Daewoo made in South Korea. They have the discontinued MB Diesel Engines. These Cargo Vans/Buses are very popular in the Caribbean.

Well, that makes more sense, I didn't think the reference was to a 600.

Cadillacs and Lincolns were lined up and footmen were letting the students out as onlookers were impressed. When we pulled up, all the limo drivers got out to look. I don't know who had more fun, my daughter or me. My car was a nice metallic blue, but I prefer the maroon ( dunkelrot ) one in the ebay sale. Ah, but alas came the divorce from my starter wife so I had to say good bye to my 600.
