Speaking of busy non-sticky threads, I just read this one on another forum. Now I'm getting a better understanding of why MB charges so much for a flush/filter change on the 722.6 trans. From what this poster says, the location of the drain for the torque convertor to get all the fluid out seems to be 'hidden', implying that since MB didn't have any interest when designed to ever have to replace the fluid, why put an easy to access drain in? Logical but wrong... FYI the other post=

Status: online I'm changing out my trans oil and I went to drain the torque converter, but can't seem to find the drain plug. Looking just in front of the transmission pan, I see a plastic plug in a hole in the housing. After removing it, I rotated the crankshaft hoping to see a drain plug, but I saw nothing.
What am I doing wrong?
