Censoring a sensor

Anyone know how to disable a sensor?
Windshield washer fluid level sensor is bad on my ML but the bottle is fine. Problem is, to replace the sensor you have to replace the bottle and it's not worth $165 for something I don't need......Harken back to the days of yore when you actually had to lift the hood and check the fluid once in a while.

Unplugging it - doesn't solve the problem.
I found it has a catalogue number (163 860 00 21), so it is a replaceable part.
Help me please to take sensor out!!!
