I am new owner of an E 55 and I have E 430 sport. I have one question for the board,
How can I tell if I have Bi-Xenon headlights in my E55?
At first I thought they were halogen, not too bright.
First night out I hit the brights and litup the tree tops.
OK I can aim the headlights, I open the hood, and above the headlamp assy is a warning sticker "CAUTION 25,000 VOLTS"
Humm are these Bi-xenon?
Yes the lamps take a two count to light.
Slight blue around edge of main beam.
I would pull a bulb, but my hands can't fit too easly.
The headlamps on my E 430 sport (210) have L/H 85/100 watt bulbs and will luminate a 3'' reflector 3 miles away. The headlamps are big.
The headlamps on my E 55 (211) are projector small and will luminate a 38" stop sign 2 miles away.
If they are Bixenon they fooled me, I thought I could tell the diff.
TIA for any help.
