Oil Change Dilemma. CLK500A 2005
I'v exhausted my search capabilities here on this wonderful forum, but still cannot figure out how to complete an oil change on my 2005 CLK500A
I purchased a topsider, proper fleece filter, filter wrench and 8 qts (need 7.5) of 0w-40 Mobil 1.
I spent an hour looking for the dipstick. Nothing, just a small red cap near the back of the engine. No stick attached, not sure what this is for. Is there a dipstick on this model? If so, where?
Removed the filter and assembly and tried inserting the topsider's tube down the spout. Again, no good, the tube will not go down the passageway.
How does Benz change the oil on these things. I was told they use a similar vacuum system, but from where do they insert their probe? Or is there an oil plug under the car. If so, where?
My last resort is to take this to a Quicklube. I'd much rather do it myself. And no I'm not bringing it to my local dealer. He is a damned criminal which is why I didn't buy my car there in the first place.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
