Cool 2001 230 SLK new owner

Hello out there. I just purchased a 2001 230 SLK w/16,400 miles. It only has about 500 miles on it in the past year. It was garaged and kept on a trickle charger.
I am wondering if I need to run any cleaners through the fuel system or need to change any fluids. It's last oil (Mobile 1) change was 500 miles ago but that was a year ago.
I've only put a few miles since purchase. I think it needs a good blowing out and run.
Thank you for any suggestions.

Welcome aboard, slk007! Just drive it, I wouldn't take any steps unless there seems to be an issue.

Grüße!

I wouldn’t run any type of fuel cleaner. However, the motor oil and filter should be changed at least once per year regardless of mileage. My car’s factory service booklet says the exact same thing. If the brake fluid hasn’t been changed in three years, it’s due. This is also regardless of mileage. I change coolant every 18 months, which I know is ahead of schedule, but I’m sure coolant has to be changed every 3 year. Air filters deteriorate with age as well. If you still have the service booklet that came with the car, you’ll see where all of this is documented.

thanks guys. I am planning on taking it in to a dealership (I live on the OR coast and MB dealers are at least 100 miles away...) for fluid changes and general check up within the next couple of weeks. It's almost like a new car, kind of cool for $22500.
