Hello, first post here...
...I was searching your forums for some information on the Crysler Crossfire, to be exact, I was trying to find posts dealing with what MB owners think of the Crossfire being a reskinned SLK 320 that sold for $10k less and all that. I opened this thread and right off the bat I didn't get good feelings.
The point of this post is... weren't MB profits in the toilet the last few years while Chrysler was showing a profit and keeping MB afloat? MB has just started making a profit again, Chrysler declined for "one" quarter and you guys are trashing them? Come on people... no matter what you think of Chrysler, let's put away the snobbish MB attitude and and look at the numbers.
Hope I didn't get off on the wrong foot here, but the Chrysler bashing just didn't hold water on who has been making a profit the past few years. I'm no big fan of Chrysler either, and never would of bought one had the Crossfire not came down the road. And yes, I think MB cars and service are way above Chrysler's. There is no comparision, but why pay so much more for a SLK when the Crossfire sold for a lot less? Now grant you, Chrysler marketing, sales and service for the most part with the Crossfire has been a joke, but it's still not worth shelling out the additional $10k for the MB star on a reskinned SLK.
Maybe DC should have sold it as a MB to help get rid of their SLK parts bin...
