Angry How to get the American Service Center emblem off the car?

Anyone who has a car from American Service Center in Arlington VA, they screw a huge emblem into the grille, which I just screwed off, but they also attach a huge emblem to the back of the car with what seems to be a super adhesive.

I have tried dental floss and fishing wire and they both snapped like breadsticks. Anyone have any suggestions?

Some type of solvent? But then I would worry about my paint, call them up ask them what they used and how to get it off they might know.

I've heard that heat guns or hair-dryers can be used judiciously to help soften the adhesive before using the fishing line method.

Try the hairdryer you won't hurt the paint. Get it nice hot, then use a putty knife to pull on the plastic, metal, part either the whole thing will come off, or it will leave some of the foam tape on. It's easy to get off with bug and tar remover at that point.

Be very careful when using the knife! You are only touching the emablem NOT the paint and the double face tape. It will come off.

After signing the paperwork I always tell them no front plate and no sticker.

3M makes an adhesive remover which works great at getting off the free advertising. Comes in a quart metal can. You can get it at NAPA, West Marine, Boat US or an automotive paint store. I use this with plastic scraper with good results. A bug and tar remover should work as well.
