Actually the reference to ".wav" files may be the issue.
You need to have a .wav file format and then use commercial software (not drag and drop such as native XP, but nero, etc.) to burn a "music cd" which will recompile them into .cda format.
.cda tracks on a CDR will play just fine on virtually all regular old cd players, including those stashed in the trunks of MBZ products.
Take care and enjoy the ride,
Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery. (Winston Churchill)
