rubber rocommendations?

I have a CLK 430 and want to put some Giovanna Ararat 19 x 8.5 on front, and 19 x 9.5 on the back. Can anyone recommend some good rubber for this combonation?

Don't know, but you will probably get more/better replies if you post this question on The Tire Rack... forum here.

Falken's are pretty good on a bigger rim size.

What are you looking for? Comfort or performance? Wet traction or dry? Tire reviews on Tire Rack website are usually very helpful.

I switched from the OE Michelin Pilot Sports to Goodyear Eagle F1s on my C230 SS, and am very happy. Less tramlining, much better wet performance, and dry traction is about the same. Price is about the same (maybe a little less), but it seems I am getting better wear - hopefully they will last longer than the Pilot Sports (gone in less than 20,000 miles).
