Mercedes Reliability ?

Hi,

Can Anyone Tell Me Why Mercedes And The Germans Can't Keep Up With The Japanese When It Comes To Reliability? Shouldn't A $55k E350 Be More Reliable Than A $18k Camry?

Well in a $55k E350, you have more things that are able to break down than in a basic $18k Camry. MB quality is coming back.....slowly.

2002 Mercedes-Benz ML320 (sold)
2011 Chrysler Town & Country
2008 Toyota Camry Hybrid
2003 Yamaha V-Star 650 Classic
2002 Jaguar X-Type 2.5

Not Really ! I have seen many topics that debate the reliability. I am not debating it. Its obvious that the Japanese cars in general are more reliable. Don't get me wrong, I am not a Toyota/Honda fan trolling this site. I currently have a 2007 E350, a 2005 C230 before that, and a 1998 C230 before that. I am a devout MB lover. I do agree that the more technically advanced a cars is, the more that could go wrong. However, the Lexus cars are just as advanced and more reliable than their MB counterparts.

Ok, if not for a debate, why create a thread?

The answer to your question is Jurgen Schremp, he is gone now, quality is coming back.
