I am not in it for the logo or the brand... I am in it to save $$ down the road on ignition replacement... I drove a BMW for a couple weeks that the owner had gotten a key cut at a locksmith and the blank was brass... it was the hardest thing to get the key in there just right to be able to turn it to start the engine... you had to have it on the right side up and wiggle it... this was a 97 BMW and the ignition in my 81 SD and 91 CE have absolutely no problems... and they are factory keys.
Thats why I would pay the dealer for a key.
