New Consultant in Florida

Hey everyone. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this community. I recently moved to Gainesville, FL to take a job with Duval Motorcars. I have been through the Elite Sales Program with Mercedes Benz in Rancho Cucamonga, Ca. I am part of this board so that I might see how the consumer actually views Mercedes Benz as a product and to learn even more about the brand from people who actually drive the vehicles.

If you have any questions or any advice please feel free to message me.

Also if you have any recommendations for places to go in Florida I would be much obliged.

Thank You.

Larry Otey Jr.

Gainesville, Florida

I remember your dealership from a trip that I took to Florida a couple of years ago, when it was still called Kraft Motorcars. Has the management changed?

Yes. Kraft was bought out a year ago by the Scott Mcrae Group. We are now called Duval Motorcars. Same location and same old building. We are supposed to be getting a new one here in a little over a year, that will be in the same location just more eye pleasing. I have only been here 3 weeks but from what I hear from customers we are doing better business than Kraft.

Next time your passing through Gainesville stop in.

Thank you to those who have posted thus far. As I said in my original post I am interested in hearing what you, the consumer, think of the product. Also to learn more about the product from those who actually use the product.

Thank you

Welcome aboard ODIE_181! You'll probably be best served by visiting the individual model forums if owner feedback is what you seek.

Honestly, I'm very glad to hear it.

We were charged around $200 for an OBD II check on our S600, even when Kraft didn't have the part (an O2 sensor, which as you know is extremely common) in stock.

I'll be sure to stop by when we make another trip to Florida.

I'll look forward to the visit. Sorry about your last experience. Since the change in ownership I keep getting feedback about how customers feel more welcome here. I can't speak on that though given the only experience I have is with the current management.

Thank you to those who have commented on this thread. I am still new to this business and I am just trying to get a feel for everything. Any advice or questions are greatly appreciated.
