What do people think of the new z4 coupe. I've only seen pics of it in CAR magazine, but it looks like the best of the bunch to me. When the 6.3 makes it into the SLK, I don't think there will be a anything that can touch it.
I agree the old 7 series was a fine looking car. Tragic that Bangle was allowed to scar the looks of the whole marque.

BMWs have always been acquired tastes, always. Even when the E30 came around, it was still dubbed "controversial styling," but BMW end up selling almost 2.4 million units worldwide.

DIfferent strokes for different folks as someone once said.

And if you look hard enough, you'll see that many of the styling cues came from Bangle on the new CL and the W221, even the W211: fat butt, long shoulder line, prounounced wheel arches, short and almost hatch like trunks...just a few.

I just happen to like BMWs as driving cars, which indeed they are better driving cars compared to many Mercedes because of the level of driver involvment and precision they offer, save one car, the CLS55....But I do admit Mercedes does have better looking cars...
