I need Some Help, I found a really Nice 450 SLC For Sale, but I'm getting all this Crap about how Mercedes Leak fluids and how they break down and the like, and to me this makes no sense.... Why Would Mercedes-Benz be one of the worlds Most Famous Auto Makers if their Cars Were crap?? Someone Please Give me a General review of the 450 SLC, The Car is from the 70's I believe. Anyone who owns one?

All old cars are going to spring a leak somewhere. Like any other car you have specific and finite areas you need to worry about. Some leaks are ok or can be repaired quickly and cheaply some are a pain and will lead to your wallet thinning out before you cry mama.
Mercedes from the 70's are built like tanks so at least have that as comfort. Take the car to someone who knows what to look for and be prepared to spend some $$ to fix it or keep it running. If $$ is an issue, forget it, get yourself a Toyota.
If you are handy, you can learn a few things about the car and will be able to save on some routine work. Just make sure that you spend a lot $$ upfront to have a good baseline, that is a car in good condition to start with.

Any chance you could give us any more info on the car? Miles? Condition?

It has 114,000 Miles on it, I have driven it and it seems to be running fine, Some collectors have looked at it and said the same thing, I saw no leaks of any kind. The only Visible flaw is on the leather interior and thats just average wear. The Car has been in storage for the past seven years, So It could probably use A tune up and some TLC. Money is not a big problem and I have the know how, Are Mercedes Built Diffrent from American Cars, or do they at least have some similarities? Money to keep it running is no big deal, I don't plan on running a marathon with the car, just an everyday driver.
