The Old Z8, how can that be compared when the Z8 is much more expensive and much more exclusive than the SL, the Z8 was limited production where as the SL is full-time production.
I'm in the Philippines right now and I see lots of B classes and 1 series BMWs. The A classes are too small to compete with the 1, they're the likes of the Honda Fit, Hyundai Getz/Matrix, etc.
Ever notice that each series of the BMW corresponds to:
Odd number: 4 door (1, 3, 5, 7)
Even number: 2 door (6, 8)
Are you saying that the 6 is the coupe of the 3? While the 8 is the coupe of the 5? I think that the 6 is the coupe of the 5, while the 3 has its own coupe. The 8 is the coupe of the 7. Look at the new M5 and M6, they look so much similar. Very different from the 3.
The X3 is like the compact SUV of BMW, it has 4 doors too. The X5 is like the midsize SUV, which competes with the ML. If BMW made an X7, then that would compete with the GL.
The CLK is based on an E class chassis. Don't let the headlights fool you.
