The view down the bonnet as a mental thing.

The slight lag between floring it and kickdown doing its thing and taking off down the road. amusing as hell to watch boy racers being shocked at a sensible 18 year old saloon (sedan) pulling away from them with ease.

I'd also agree with the kickdown switch...I have so much fun with that coming off of on-ramps.

my favourite thing about mercedes is the speed limiter/cruise control. it is so intuitive, sensible and easy to use that it makes both long trips and the freeway drone liveable. To the guys that designed that - thankyou.

My favorite thing? It'd have to say the overall presence of the car. It DEMANDS respect!

No matter which one I drive, they always put a make me feel GREAT.

And...they always go exactly where you point 'em.

Money isn't everything, but it keeps the kids in touch.

The smooth and quiet ride. My last car was a BMW with sport suspension, and while it was a lot of fun on tight corners it was a rough ride on straight roads with heaves and pot holes like we have here in NJ. The Merc rides over them like glass.
