I got 3 clips with my "All Weather Mats". 2 are for the drivers side - both applied toward the rear of the mat (pins into original carpet) to prevent frontward slippage, and the 1 is for the passenger side at the top - *if it starts falling over*. A pictorial instruction sheet came with the set. None of these have broken, but they are relatively new.

suprisingly I haven't break any clips in the car yet, but lots of people have their clips for holding the seat-back cover break on the w203.

2002 M112K with lots of mods
2008 M272 with some mods

Most of the plastics that break on a 123 are the brittle ones from the underdash panels. The hex bolts on the door latches also strip easily.

One universal part that often breaks for MB owners is: their bank accounts. We all know MBs can be expensive to maintain...
