I do not expect anything for "free" or "nearly free" because I drive a Mercedes but I definitely do expect to be treated today on all levels with the same amount of respect as a Mercedes owner as I was treated for the past 35 years .... it is not so !
It was my understanding that Daimler Benz bought Chrysler Dodge, not the other way around. It was quite beneficial for Chrysler cars ( I often rent Chryslers so I can tell). Chrysler $tealerships became a lot more expensive at the same time.
I personally don't care THAT much about customer service, although I'd like to be treated well. However, bad CS won't make me to write long posts regarding poor quality of the products of the company which had this bad CS. But it's me.
On the other hand if I was treated as royalty by CS and my car needed repairs every other day, I would be very unhappy despite of the superior CS. But once again, it's me.
No, most of those ppl don't complain about DaimlerChrysler CS, they complain about Benz quality and compare Benzes quality to BMWs, Saabs, Lexuses etc. quality favoring the formers.
Anyway, thanks a lot to all who responded, things are more clear to me now.
