Forgot. Also have my briefcase in there.....it's more like a file carrier. Sits in the depression on the other side of my trunk.

I'm going for the longest list here.

Now, in my trunk I have the lid mounted Euro warning triangle they didn't equip US cars with, some spare vacuum hose and golf tees to plug up any line that's leaking, and some old parts I've replaced (I need to throw them out). I have some cheap kneepads to lessen stress on my already bad knees if I'm working on something on the car that requires kneeling, a toolkit, MityVac, power steering fluid, funnel, MB coolant, a quart of Mobil 1 ATF for the transmission and a quart of cheapo ATF to add to the spin-on fuel filter when I change it to make priming easier. There's also spare inline fuel filters, car washing supplies, and windshield washing fluid.

It sounds worse than it is, but it's actually kinda organized looking.

Let's see....

In my little organize the trunk bag I have Car Wax, Leather conditioner, ATF fluid, 1 Jug 50/50 Coolant, One Bottle of Oil, WD-40, couple a wrenches, a rag or two when they are clean, Full set of replacement fuses, wire cutters, Windex, and all purpose cleaner. For some reason there is also currently an umbrella in there as well...not quite sure what I'll be doing with it here in San Diego but it might have it's use someday....sunshade maybe?

Plus standard tire/jack/lug wrench.

It will be probably 4 years before my Benz wagon is used for hauling. But to give you an idea of what WILL be in my trunk at that time, here's what I often use my Volvo wagon for currently. Going to the recycling center, the dump, or on a long road trip, I pack the thing front to back, floor to ceiling, rear tires nearly scraping on the wheel wells.

Oh wow.

You can't really put anything in the trunk of the ML. You'd hear it rolling back and forth.

Nothing! Except for the spare, tool roll and scissor jack - plus a glove for fueling with diesel.

In the trunk: Tool kit, tow strap, pry bar, road flares, jumper cables, clean rags, blanket, rain coat, ice scraper, mag-lite, 1M candlepower 12V light, bottle of water, road atlas, work gloves, sunblock, bug spray, about 100 CD's.

My center console contains: portable GPS, digital camera, bluetooth headset, spare batteries for GPS and headset, big folding knive, leatherman, MP3 player, tissues, napkins, wet wipes, a couple pencils, small notepad, eye drops, Tylenol, No-Doz, cellular phone charger.

Yes, I believe in being prepared. Between the center console, the storage areas on the side of the trunk and the spare tire well, it actually all fits in very neatly. My trunk looks remarkably empty considering all the crap I'm lugging around.
