Question W126: Need Help

Hey my names Steve, I have a 1988 300 SEL (not to shabby for my first car!). Pics of it are at car domain http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2308786 . I was just wondering if anyone could tell me how to take of the rear speaker cover. I've messed around with it for a while, and don't wanna force/break it off. The front covers come of no problem. Also, could anyone direct me to a good website (preferrable one that ships to Canada) that offers stock/replacement 6.5" speakers? Any help/advice is much appreciate, thanks

I did it last week, no problem. Slide it foward, there is a clip in the front part of cover. I had a difficulty to put it back rather than otherwise

Welcome to the forum Steve. Scroll down to the W 126 forum and check the DIY thread. It has the links to several online manuals and even the russian MB clubs site (in English) with illustrated parts cataloge. The link to the mbusa manuals on 2 DVD for $ 20 is there too, and how, and with which index to install it. If you click on the search this forum box on the top right, you can type in your question, and get everything relating from the archives. Good luck.

Welcome. I recommend the CD's from MB as well. Good investment for $20. I would think a good stereo store in you area could help you out with speakers. I use a local store around here and they have not had any problems finding things for my w126.
