Not all automatic trannies have them in general. Mostly higher end cars like MB, BMW, etc. have adaptive transmissions.

So we are all sure this doesn't flood the engine right? I assume that with EFI or newer safety features that flooding the engine is impossible, but I still want to ask.

Good question! The instructions did not say when to release the accelerator pedal. I am assuming right after we switch the ignition back to off, am I correct? I haven't tried this yet.

Hi should this work on the 7G in the SLK55 and do you go into kickdown or stop just before?

Cheers
Dan

Well I tried it last night and it did become more responsive. i depressed the pedal into kickdown for 10 seconds, released it, then turned the key to 0.

Dan it should work in your SLK55.

I'm thinking of trying this out sooner or later, sounds interesting on the responsiveness people have reported.
