Loooking to buy a used Mercedes

I have three Mercedes that I'm looking at...but I don't know which to buy. Any help would be great.

I am not sure if Ike`s response is don`t buy any of the cars shown because they are all E-Classes of the W210 generation or simply because they are not particularly good examples of that model.

Asking prices look high but then I am comparing with what would be asked for here in the UK.

The inline six 3.2 is a nice engine and is quick and smooth. It has more than enough power for the car. I have owned two W210s and they were very reliable. Both were first generation cars and neither had any issues with rust which has been a problem with some W210s.

If it`s a W210 E-Class you are looking for I would definitely shop around as there are lots about and and you should be able to find well-maintained lower mileage cars.

Good-luck.

My suggestion is that you expand your search. You might find one in better shape for a better price in some other part of the country. Have it inspected. If it passes, either fly over and drive it back or have it shipped. DAS has worked well for me when I have had cars shipped.

I'll go against the grain here Dragon . . .I think all 3 look like decent cars-- off hand, I'd go with the newer one with lower miles, but the guiding factor will be the books/service records and most importantly, a buyers inspection by a qualified Benz specialist.

You're probably studying the market, trying to find the best car at the best price--- and although there may be cars in Phoenix as an example that are better values-- little rain, no rust, etc-- the logistics of getting it inspected and getting it home can be a struggle.

I doubt there are many folks in the forum that can tell you which car based on the ads alone - - but maybe you can find someone through the forum to see the car, recommend an inspection facility or service shop in your area.

Have fun with the 'hunt' and be sure to post a picture if/when you pull the trigger!
